Europe’s hottest illusionists! July 2008
The Twins and Mark Parker
This month sees The Twins cruising the high seas once again on one of the world’s most luxurious cruise liners the M.V Oceana with the largest Illusion show afloat. Europe’s hottest illusionists are combining their own very unique style and innovative illusions to wow their audiences. “This is a show of non-stop illusions, magic at its best!” commented Gary. “We have brought on board John Gaughan’s “FLYING”, Roy Shank’s “Bow Staff” to name but a few. This is the first time flying has been performed on a ship!”
The Twins were assisted this month by their own production team including Europe’s premier illusion designer Mark Parker who consulted on this production. “Mark is a great ideas man, his illusions are fantastic” explained Paul. “Mark has designed a number of illusions for us including “Acceleration” a lighting appearance of a Super Bike" added Gary. Mark, after consulting on this year's successful production, is now designing some new illusions for a brand new concept for The Twins in 2009.

The Rampaging Hulk! June 2008
To coincide with the new film “The Incredible Hulk” showing at cinemas from June, Marvel / Qdos Entertainments have produced a brand new touring stage show. The Twins have acted as creative consultants on this production. The show features some bespoke illusions designed and built by The Twins for the Marvel Characters including Dr. Bruce Banner and of course the giant, rampaging Hulk! Gary said “This production has been very challenging but our hard work has paid off; the illusions are stunning!

The Twins are famed for their large scale illusions and revealed they will
be returning to the Mayflower theatre to conjure up some special illusions
again for this year's show. Cinderella the Musical Pantomime will be showing from December 5 to January 17.

The Twins have had no time to rest over the Christmas season, having taken part in a Spanish Christmas Television show appearing their very own Robinson R22 Helicopter and working as Magical Creative Consultants on over 20 pantomimes and Musicals.

Drawing on their wealth of experience and knowledge, they create amazing magical effects which are designed and manufactured to suit the client's needs. The shows The Twins have been involved in this year include Irving Berlin's White Christmas in Edinburgh and Cardiff which runs until 14th January, Santa Claus - The Musical in Birmingham and The Wizard of OZ in Southampton which runs until 19th January , as well as Pantomimes in Bradford, Exeter, Frome and Northampton to name but a few.

The Twins are off to Spain at the end of November to take part in a Christmas Television show! Being shipped over are Mark Parker’s brand new illusion “Acceleration” and The Twins very own appearing Robinson R22 Helicopter.

“We have been performing the helicopter illusion for over 9 years now” said Gary “Wow its fast and it will look cool when the steady camera turns 360 degrees around our Helicopter in the studio” add Paul.

The Twins this month are wowing audiences with their brand new illusion, “Acceleration”. Acceleration is one on the many highlights of The Twin’s show on board MV Aurora. The Twins have also been enjoying Russian hospitality over the last few weeks. Paul says “travelling in Russia is a real eye opener; it is such an interesting place”. The Twins will carry on cruising around the Baltic until the end of the month moving on to the Iceland and the Fjords!

The largest Illusion show ever afloat had its premiere last week on P & O’s Flag ship the Aurora! Loading the show onto the ship took over 7 hours with a team of 10 men aiding The Twins in this logistical nightmare. The show has taken up over half of the backstage storage space and will be running for over 8 months on the Aurora.

During their initial cruise, The Twins were assisted by their own production team including Colin Wood, The Twins’ Lighting Director. UK based RNT Music Studios were also on hand, to create a powerful soundtrack and the team from Hallmark Productions Ltd supplied stunning a audio visual interaction.

BBC TV's The Slammer is back and The Twins are back inside doing time. The Governor (comedian Ted Robbins) is in charge of this prison where talented entertainers are incarcerated. Four exceptional acts perform in a "Freedom Show" for the chance to be released! The Twins performed an astonishing levitation in front of an amazed Parole Board of 50 children who decided which act gets released. Once the votes came in it was clear that The Twins had won the prize of freedom again by a huge lead (no other magic act has achieved this!). One of the Parole Board members screamed "TWINTASTIC!"

The Snow men!
The Twins, along with a top London fashion magazine, have been in the Caribbean this month, creating a snow storm on a tropical beach for a photo shoot. Local television and news papers reporters were there on hand also, with this headline hitting story. The Twins enjoyed the beautiful clear Caribbean waters as they scuba dived most days when not making it snow. They have been to the Caribbean a number of times and are pleased to be back.

The Twins are respected creative consultants for film, television and stage productions. Drawing on their wealth of experience and knowledge, they create amazing effects which are designed and manufactured to suit any client's needs!

“Access” is one on the many highlights of the twin’s show “Allusion.” The Twins have also been enjoying Russian hospitality over the last few weeks. Gary says “Being in Russia is a real eye opener; it is such an interesting place to visit”.

Pole position!

Sailing the high sea this month on the Arcadia took a new and unusual twist. The Twins spent two weeks cruising the Baltic with acclaimed UK press photographer Bob Richardson and his team, shooting new photographs for a number of magazines and newspapers. From walking on water, hanging 40 feet from a rope, to sitting “suited and booted” in a Jacuzzi, it all happened in a flash of a camera for The Twins and Bob Richardson.

The Twins started the New Year with a bang after being invited to perform a
number of their mind-blowing illusions in the Caribbean. The Twins performed with 8 female dancers during an exclusive News Years Eve Illusion Gala show.

This gig was not all work however; The Twins enjoyed the beautiful clear Caribbean waters as they scuba dived most days.

The Twins used the unconventional fusion of illusions and performance art, blending them into a surprising series of larger than life magical
moments.

The Twins, the world’s only identical twin illusionists have been on location filming a new project at Alton Towers, the UK’s most famous theme park. A film crew from Hallmark productions pulled 'the rabbit out of the hat' for The Twins as they filmed in difficult conditions. The film crew filmed entirely on the freezing ice rink at The Magic of Ice Circus of Illusion Big Top theatre.

Gary and Anthony enjoying falling snow!
Once again The Twins' innovative illusions and unique performance have received critical acclaim throughout the entertainment industry but they have also moved one family’s hearts.
A little boy called Anthony, who is 6 years old, came with his family to Alton Towers, the UK’s most famous theme park for a fun day out and watched The Twins show. That week Anthony tried to make it snow just like The Twins in their show. A few days later Anthony and his family were involved in a road traffic accident. Anthony was wearing his seat belt but hit his head on the side of the car and went into a coma. The rest of his family walked away from the accident with only cuts and bruises. After a number of weeks Anthony was still in the depths of a coma and his family tried to stimulate him with music and voices. Sadly this did not work but then Anthony’s sister remembered how much her little brother liked The Twin’s snow illusion. So the family started to tear up bits of paper around him and played The Twins snow music. Slowly his eye lids flickered and within minutes he was out of the coma, holding up his hands, trying to make it snow.

“Anthony got to make it snow when he came back to Alton Towers a week ago. He now wants to become a magician or illusionist!” said Gary. “He went home very happy and we could not stop smiling for days” added Paul.

The Twins at Alton Towers unveiled another world first this month when they performed the premier performance of a brand new death defying illusion called 'Skewered', in The Magic of Ice Circus of Illusion Ice Show.
Skewered, nicknamed "Brenda" – she is one hell of a beast - is the first illusion of its kind in the world! This amazing illusion features 2 lethal racks of razor sharp spikes which get slammed into The Twins who are trapped inside a small box with no possible means of escape in the centre of the ice! What happens next is truly unbelievable!

The Illusion was designed by The Twins and Bill Smith at Magic Ventures, located in the entertainment capital of the world - Las Vegas. Magic Ventures design and construct illusions for the world’s leading magicians including David Copperfield, Lance Burton and of course The Twins!

The Twins said “she came in the largest ATA road case that Bax Global shipping have ever shipped and a special time slot had to be agreed for her to be flown over on a cargo Boeing 747! The Twins went on to explain that “in the coming months several versions of the illusion will be performed each adding a new dimension; the trick will evolve and become even more spectacular.” During rehearsals choreographer Shelle O’Hara described the illusion as “incredible!”

The Twins travelled forward in time this week to the year 2065 for a BBC TV programme all about time travel.
The Twins were aged thanks to the BBC’s make-up artistes. “It took over 4 hours for the make-up artistes to work their magic!” said Paul. “When they had finished we were a set of 90 year old twins” added Gary. You will be able to see this fantastic transformation during the summer on

Christmas is a special time for The Twins as they were introduced into the world of magic when their parents gave them a magic set for Christmas, at the tender age of eight! Little did they realize just how influential their little gift would turn out to be!

Identical twins Joe and Charlie Kendrick aged 8, from England could not believe their eyes when they met The Twins. Abi, Joe and Charlie’s mum said “ We loved The Twins illusion show and now the boys want to become magicians! Luckily we have The Twins magic sets, so that my boys can work some of their own magic!”
LIFE AFLOAT!
The Twins, a truly unique phenomenon are at present cruising on one of the worlds most luxurious cruise liners with a new show called "SEEING DOUBLE”. An English newspaper wrote after seeing the show “SPECTACULAR!” "Seeing Double" makes entertainment history with one of the most dangerous underwater escape ever performed on the high seas. “Performing on cruise ships is great fun, nearly every day you’re in a different port” says Gary. Paul recalls “Cruising the Fjords in the middle of winter, slowly creeping though the ice capped sea, is just magical!”

The Twins are currently amazing passengers on board one of the worlds most luxurious cruise liners with their all new illusion show which includes one of the most dangerous under water escapes every performed on the open seas. A special designed stage unit had to be built to hold the weight of the water.
With a cast of 8, the show starts with the stage erupting in fire and then the sudden appearance of The Twins. The audience is then taken on a roller coaster ride of illusions which includes a breath taking appearance, ending on an edge of your seats under water escape.
BARCELONA POLICE CHALLENGE!
Not Caught in Barcelona

As The Twins took some shore leave in Barcelona they amazed local port police after being challenged to escape from their Spanish handcuffs. Police Office Senor Gaudi said “ One minute we handcuffed Paul, the next minute he was free, I have never seen anything like that before. Amazing!” The Twins are currently performing on one of the world's luxury cruise liners.
RIDING ON A CREST OF A WAVE!
At a press call to celebrate The Twins joining one of the worlds luxury cruise liners, performing their all new illusion show, which has been quoted to be “the largest show of it’s kind on the open sea.” Television and newspaper reporters were mystified as The Twins accomplished a unique illusion. Hilary Porter, one of the reporters said " the surf quite definitely wasn't up, yet Paul on his surf board with the help of his identical twin brother Gary, bobbed up and down as if on a wave as it floated in mid air over the shore line!"
SPOT THE DIFFERENCE
It was Double Trouble at ‘El Arca de Noe’ (Noah’s Ark) Wild Animal and Bird Sanctuary near Guadalest Spain this week when THE TWINS met Noah’s Ark’s very own set of twins. Steffen and Piluca are two Jaguar cubs, who celebrated their birthday when THE TWINS dropped by to feed them a birthday treat.

Steffen and Piluca where born at the sanctuary and have become one of Noah’s Ark many success stories but their parents who now both live happily at the sanctuary had a very hard and curel life as performing animals in a circus act. The circus abandoned Steffen and Piluca’s parents who became “too big” for their owners. The Twins are very happy to support the sanctuary.
LOCATION, LOCATION!

The Twins, the worlds only Identical twin illusionists are currently on Location in Hampshire, England filming a program all about Harry Houdini. Houdini stunned audiences world wide with his awe-inspiring grand illusions and death defying, breath taking escapes. The Twins not only present the program but recreate a number of his daring escapes. Paul said “Harry Houdini found world wide fame and fortune and still some 80 years after his death, the legend lives on!” “A true star of stage and screen. Time and time again, he escaped from impossible predicaments thrilling audiences!” adds Gary.
WITH DEEPEST REGRET
We are sad to announce the death of Max Radford. On Wednesday 3rd of March 2004 Max from Red Aviation Ltd was flying back from London in an Augusta Helicopter. On final approach to Bournemouth International Airport the aircraft came down near woodland and burst into flames, killing Max and his passenger Steve Curtis. Our deepest sympathy goes to Max’s and Steve’s Family.
Max will be sadly missed, he was a great mate and a very good Instructor.

THE TWINS, the worlds only Identical twin illusionists made English Pantomime history this year by making a Real fully working Helicopter appear on an empty stage in less than 4 seconds! So that Cinderella, Alex Lovell Disney Club’s “little Alex”, could go to the ball in style. The Twins played the “Fairy Flunkeys” in one of the biggest and longest running pantomimes in U.K. The Twins performed numerous puzzling and exhilarating illusions and starred along side TV’s funny man Bobby Davro and the legendary Danny la Rue.

ITS UP, UP, AND AWAY for the illusionists THE TWINS who are saying a fond farewell to Spain as they fly off to new adventures. They have made entertainment history over the 1 year and 9 months with their BRAIN-BLOWING illusions in a 2500 seat venue in Spain. The Mirror (the national English Newspaper) wrote after seening The Twins this year ”David Copperfield had better start looking over his shoulder.”

Then it’s back to the U.K to act as magical consultants for a number of projects and then The Twins will appear in one of the UK’s Largest Pantomime.
